User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsMy family and i went to this restaurant tonight and because of the reviews i had high expectations. This place had average food with extreme prices. It was not worth it at all to me. I will not be going back however they have great egg rolls. The Panda garden in columbus is much better and have great prices. my family of four ate there for about 20 bucks.

When I went to Chef Lee's for the first time I had high expectations, since they've plastered Columbus with signs proclaiming that they've been voted into the top ten Chinese restaurants in the country. But...it just wasn't as good. There is something indefinably different and better about China Garden when compared to Chef Lee's. Especially the hot and sour soup; I've never had any better. The eggrolls are fried perfectly and are never greasy; the atmophere is nice, too, quiet but still lively. My faves are the shredded pork with garlic sauce, General Tso's chicken, and the twice cooked pork.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat Chinese Food: I've been going here for close to 10 years and the food is delicious as well is the value. Easily accessible from 280/431. They use the same recipe's as Chef Lee Peking (located in Columbus, GA) which is honestly their only competition. If you want chinese in the Phenix City, AL/Columbus, GA area this is the best choice, for value, taste, & atmosphere!

Just a small correction: They don't use the "Same" recipes as Chef Lee Peking restaurant ... they use similar but in my opinion "even better tasting" recipes. The owners of this restaurant are also family to the owners of Chef Lee's Restaurant. I would have to put Chef Lee's in 2nd place behind China Garden even with their brand new multi-million dollar restaurant ... Taste wins over .... China Garden Phenix city hands down.
