I wasn't sure what to expect yesterday afternoon as I walked into Brick Oven Pizza in Auburn.
I have to admit I entered the experience skeptical. The first time you visit a new place is always a gamble. What I discovered was a refreshing outing (and in many different aspects).
Our service was as good as any I can ever recall. The atmosphere was on the money, although we decided to stay inside instead of taking part in what appeared to be a festive opportunity outside.
And as for the food? I'm not even able to give it justice. A friend and I split the Brick Oven Classic. On a scale of 1-10, it hit 11. My sister treated herself to a satisfying salad and another member of our party tackled the best calzone he ever consumed.
This was food at its finest. And it was an amazing time had by all. I can't wait to visit again (I may go back today) and I was excited to hear that ownership was on the verge of opening another Brick Oven in Tiger Town.
I love the pizza; however, the cheese is much too rich for my stomach. But if you are a cheese lover, this is the place to go.
This week was the first time I have been to the Brick Oven. I was a little hesistant at first but once I walked in it I knew I had made the right choice. The service was great, the food was fresh and it took no time whatsoever for it to come out of the oven. The best part is that the kitchen is open so you can sit and watch the cooks toss the dough along with everything else before your food arrives. I would definalty recomend it to my friends. They even have a party room so that the next time my church gets together we can all sit down and eat at once without it being a hassle to anyone.
