User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsIf you're ever in need of a great day in the outdoors, Red River Canoe is where it's at! I have been canoeing with Red River Canoe at least once a summer for the past few years now and haven't been disappointed yet. The employees are more than helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and canoeing in general. Though they are serious about your safety on the river, they all have great sense humor and will be sure to make you laugh! The canoes are supplied, as well as safety vests and oars. You can go with just a few people or a big group of people, and they load you up in a cool painted school bus and drop you off where your trip on the river begins. They inform you of several landmarks to look for while on the river so you'll know about how much of trip is left till the end. Of course there are plenty of banks where you can dock your canoe and rest or just hang out. When you've reached the end, you'll know by the huge stop sign posted on a tree. The employees are always there to help you pull in your canoe. And if you need to wash up or use the restroom afterward, they have a men and womens restroom with showers.
Definitely recommended! Have a blast!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI have been canoeing and recently taken a love to kayaking here for the summer. My dog, Ru, is welcome here, as are all dogs that are well behaved and friendly. My first time up here was about 3 or 4 years ago, still got friendly service, great relaxed atmosphere....this is such a great escape from town and city. It is my haven from the daily grind and city life.
