Britt's St B Auto Care-Towing

Questionable Integrity: I always respected the Britt name & considered them reputable. Recently I bought a used car from Mrs. Britt. She assured me everything worked on the car. She was willing to warranty the engine for 60 days. I was unable to drive the car off her lot because there were no tags on it. I would never have bought the car under these circumstances but for the good name Britt's had. Anyway, I did not get the car home before numerous lights & alarms began to come on. Check enging, overheating, parking brake on, etc. Mrs. Britt did have her mechanics examine the car. She told me the motor was running fine and that was the end of her responsibility--that it was a used car and basically my problem if it wasn't up to standards. I felt under the circumstances, especially with her having told me "everything worked"; that she had a responsibility to repair what didn't work. She obviously disagreed. Frankly, I would not lose my good reputation for the few hundred dollars it would have taken for her to put the car in the condition she claimed it was in. I will never do business with Britt's again.
