OK. I will start off w/ "I LOVE THEIR SUSHI"
Granted, I've only been once... about to head over there again tonight. But, two complaints... you better eat fast b/c once the cook's done w/his show here comes a pushy little lady asking you over & over again if you want a to-go box for your food. I'm thinking, "no, I'll eat it, but I need for it to cool down first!" So yeah, if you want to take your time and enjoy your meal, don't sit at the grill-top table. Second complaint: what is with this town and the overly-oiled fried rice? I watched the cook drop the bowl of rice. Ok, looks good. Then here comes some oil on top. Ok,still looks good... only he's not stopping... he keeps squirting it out on the rice... WOW! I watched in horror as the rice turned into that greasy yellow color JUST from the added oil... not the cooking.
Yeah, other than the rush on eating and the insane amount of oil in the fried rice, their food's great. I SOOOOO love their sushi!
I was impressed with the lunch menu and the prices were very good. The building atmosphere isn't the greatest and the parking is a nightmare, but don't let that distract you from trying it!
ok let me tell you what happened. the older japanese lady, the one who always comes into work stinking of booze, served me some overly hot sakee. everytime i go in there that old japanese witch is catty to me, dont know if shes jealous or just mad at life itself. anyways, she put something in my sakee last time, when my friend was going to take a drink of it she 'no nooo u don drink sake'. guess she didnt want him getting sick. that night i puked my guts up. i wont be going back to yamatos, i suggest you dont either
