If this is one of the best restaurants in Clarksville, that makes it a very sad situation!

I'd read a lot of great reviews about this restaurant and when I visited my daughter this past weekend, we went for a visit. The staff was friendly and gave good service, but the food was average at best. I got a sandwich and it wasn't anything to write home about. My daughter said her chicken salad was good, but I think that Almost $35.00 including tip was way too much for two adults and a two year old for lunch, even if it did include an appetizer.

What I liked was the fact that they gave my grandson some fish food and let him feed the carp in the pond outside. He loved that.

What I thought was awful was that they had their outside patio open, but it was an absolute mess. For one thing, the tables didn't have umbrellas that went through the center, so some people had to sit in the sun while others were in the shade, the umbrellas were just against the side of the table. There were also random tables that were just shoved off to the side and it was very sloppy looking and didn't look like they were ready for customers out there at all. If they are going to have an outdoor patio, it ought to look good.

I would not go here for lunch again, and I sure wouldn't pay their dinner prices. I didn't try their desserts, although the cakes looked very good, and sadly, there really isn't any place in town that is strictly a bakery. Strange for a town the size of Clarksville if you ask me.

Oh and another thing, they consider a party of five to be large and will automatically add a surcharge to your bill.

For lunch, I suggest you try Silkes instead. It's much better value for the money. IMO.

I have been here before and I have to say that the service and the food has fallen. The service was horrible. We were with a large group that was booked way in advance and they could not handle the group. Our waitress' had no personality and rushed several of the people in our group for their orders. The waitress' acted as though we were bothering them. The food was not as wonderful as it has been in the past. Many of the ladies in our group did not even eat all of the food because of the low standard in which it was prepared. This place had some of the best deli style food in Clarksville but something has happened. I tried a dish I have had there before and it was horrible. I will not be back due to the service and the fallen food quality.

EXCELLENT: cute, great ambience, wonderful pastries and food. great little place for a luncheon with the gal pals..
