| About: | The little town of Franklin is famous for its rich history and its antique galleries, but this family-style restaurant may boost Franklin's popularity a bit more. Locating a restaurant next to a farmer's market makes fresh food easy to come by. Enjoy the absolute best vegetables and fruit, as well as fresh baked bread and dessert. Fried chicken is the best item on the menu, but the Country-Style Steak and Gravy is worth a try too. The pick of the litter, however, is the Fresh Veggie Plate. Choose five vegetables from over a dozen options and enjoy a healthy and delicious lunch or dinner. Early risers will love the breakfast menu filled with traditional Southern favorites like buttermilk biscuits and grits. |

Worst place I have ever eaten at. Food was horrible and the help was walking aournd with fly swatters. I suspect the flys ate more of my food than I did - not really sure. Really odd place - it's like they got a pass from the city health inspector. Awful place.
Several times we have found silverware and plates dirty. There are other restaraunts that have good veggies and meats with clean dishes!
Dont go. dont even try it. NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. Here are a few high points of my recent trip (I posted pictures but I doubt they will last). They dont accept anything but cash. But they do provide an ATM so you can get your cash for $2.75. We were sat in the "trailer trash" room. The waitress told us it was a trailer they added to the original building and you can see it in the pictures. The waitress was a jerk. She literally threw the straws at us. when she brought our food she didnt bring the grits which were part of the meal. Finally the most important part of the eating experience: FLIES EVERYWHERE. they were along the window sill, in the jelly which was open jars on the table, and I am not making this up.....Under the salt shaker.
this trailer was horrible I have no Idea how they dont get shut down. I dont care who says it is a "tradition" in franklin, or if famous country stars eat there.
