Rafferty's Restaurant & Bar

My wife and I were traveling with another couple and spent the night in Clarksville, TN. While looking for a place to eat Rafferty's caught our eye; it was a nice looking building with well-kept grounds. We were not disappointed! The waitress was very friendly and efficient. The food was absolutely fantastic! I am not a huge bar-b-q fan, but the bar-b-q over the cornbread was phenomenal! I would definitely go there again and I highly recommend it to anyone!

Were do I start, I'm only writing this review because my husband is sick to his stomach and if he keeps having to go to bathroom ill have to take him to the emergency room... last night we decided to try eating at Rafferty's restaurant for the first time... our family loves to eat out we are a young couple with children.. the first thing i noticed was the menus, they were crusty and dirty immediately i felt my hands were dirty after touching them! the next thing i noticed was the room was extremely dark after ordering my food I couldn't really see what i was eating, I don't know about you but i like to look at my food before taking bites... we ordered the soup special which last night they were serving potato with bacon and cheese... It was good, but my husband found a good size piece of aluminum foil in his soup, ok no big deal right things like that happen all the time... he told the Lady that was standing around looking at everyone (It looked like she was the manager)... all she did was take the plate really quick and walked off... We thought that was extremely weird.. than after our food arrived I was in a seat were i could see the waiters constantly.. I saw a waitress accidentally drop a piece of lettuce and put it back on the tray looked around and then kept walking, that did it for me, after that I was scared to eat the rest of my food. we never once complained. Our first experience at this restaurant and our family would never eat there again! we will stick with; out back, olive garden, and all the other awesome restaurants in the area!

I have been to Rafferty's several times. I agree that they are pricy, but most of the items I have had there are tasty, except for their Ranch Dressing, which is very bland, and it's the only place I have ever been where they put horseradish in Miricle Whip, to use on Prime Rib, which in my opinion ruins the meat.
(Most places put horseradish into sour cream.)

The service is not as good as it could be. Most times that I have gone there, someone brings water right away, then I wait 10-15 minutes before the server comes to even say hello.

The only reason I even bother going there, is because I am a smoker, and it's the only place I know of in town that has outside dining, where I can smoke.
