Took my vehicle to their service department cause I was concerned about a noise I heard on my tire & whine when driving, they call me to inform me I had steering rack leak & needed replaced, transmission soliand pack leak, water pump leak, and that my front bushings and ends were gone & all this will cost me $2,500! I declined the repairs and told them I was picking it up. When I got there, it's still in the shop on the rack & this is when they inform me I have a recalled part they have to replace before I could leave. And not to mention they have become rude after I declined repair with them. After I get my vehicle back I notice I'm not hearing the whinny noise any longer and the grinding I heard on the tire was more of a rattle now. So I believe the recalled part had something to do with that. I'm reviewing the print out I got from them and it states that bushings and ends are "worn" not "GONE" and says tech "RECOMMENDS" replacing them. hmmm...why couldn't they just say that for crying out loud!!! I've gotten a second opinion now and there was transmission soliand leak & water pump leak, I needed some grease and pads done as well & went ahead and replaced the bushings and ends and the repairs only cost me $615!! This place is NOT honest and after reading reviews and hearing from other peoples experience I'm glad I declined and it would be a cold day in hell before they ever get my service again!

BEWARE!!I took my 2006 Crysler Town and Country Mini Van to Gary Matthews for an oil change, tire rotation and breaks. I was called later in the day by the service manager and informed that my steering rack was leaking power steering fluid and I would need a new steering rack. The charge was over $1000. I declined on the repair. I took my van to the Chrysler dealership where I purchased my van and they checked out the steering rack and informed me that the rack did not have a leak. There was nothing wrong with my steering rack. Thank goodness I went for a second opinion or I would have been out over $1000 for nothing. I do not trust Gary Matthews Chrysler. You may want to think twice the next time the service department calls with "small things they have found wrong" with your car. You may want to get a second opinion. It really makes me sad to know that they take advantage of individuals. Especailly when your husband is deployed and you already have enough stress to deal with. I am happy to know that there are dealerships that are honest, but I feel this dealership is not.

If a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep is what you want, shop at Sisk Auto Mall in Hopkinsville. Use this dealership only as a second option. If you do buy from here, make sure you're reading the fine print. They're underhanded.

Thank you for posting your review with Gary Mathews. It was your review that threw a red flag for me when I was also told I needed a new steering rack, among the list of other things. Wanted to charge me $2500! puff* are you kidding me!!! lol
I'm so happy I was able to help someone out. They also wanted to replace another component on my van that had already been repaired which was going to cost another $400. I will never take my van back to them. Since my experience, I have been told by many friends including the location where I have my oil changed that they have know people who were also ripped off by Gary Matthews Crysler. It is really sad what they are doing to trusting individuals. Because of this experience I will never trust another dealership and the only time I will take my vehicle to a dealership is if it is under warranty! The dealership charges double for any kind of repair!
