Like walking into an old fashioned country store..: A very pleasant place! LOVE the atmosphere. Very home-y, country-store-down-the-road kind of feel in the middle of downtown Franklin. Homemade sandwiches, salads, desserts; and overall, I loved everything I had. One exception - the pasta salad. Not because it didn't taste good, but because it was a lot less pasta and a lot more salad. :) Everything else was WONDERFUL. Most especially the desserts!! Amazing! Try the peanut butter pie...you will NOT be disappointed!

A regular stop for locals: Merridee's Breadbasket is a bake shop that serves sandwiches. We've been there several times, and we haven't been disappointed. The breads selection usually involves 5 or 6 varieties, and they're all good. The viking bread, a course multigrain, is my favorite. The chicken salad, regular or curried, is particularly good. Nice selection of brownies, cookies, too. You can buy bread to take home, but you should eat it within a day or three: they use no preservatives, apparently, which is nice. Nice staff, usually oldies on the tunescape.
