My wife, children, and sister-in-law ate at the Kabuto Japanese Steak House on September 11th 2009 at approximately between 6:50pm-07:35pm. I am serving my third combat tour in Iraq and have not seen my wife in almost a year now. Today on September 11th, it is our third wedding anniversary. My wife paid for her sister and while ordering asked the waitress to find how much a piece of lobster would cost in small portion. The waitress could not find on the menu where lobster was priced and so it was ordered along with food for all seated. At the end of the meal my wife was informed that a small piece of lobster had a cost of 14 dollars and when she asked why she was paying full price for a portion of a full meal that she did not receive. This is when the manager stated that he would call the Police on my wife if she did not pay full price for this piece of lobster. My wife then pays 80 dollars for her, her sister, one five year old and two 2 year olds. So I want to thank you for your professionalism and compassion in making my wife who is alone and especially sad today feel little and made to cry on our wedding anniversary while I am thousands of miles away. I will never take my family to your restaurant again.
After 10 years living in Los Angeles, my wife and I moved to the Nashville area this year. We had so many good restaurant choices in LA for sushi and Japanese food, it was ridiculous. Kabuto is right up there in terms of quality and atmosphere. Looking for a good place to take friends, clients, or sushi lovers? Look no further. We were impressed by the sushi menu and quality, as well as the hibachi chefs. The food was fantastic and sushi was fresh. Admittedly, it was weird having noodles instead of sprouts on the hibachi, and potatoes in the veggie mix, but overrall the food is GREAT. Bar prices are good and overall value is top notch. I am getting hungry writing this review... most of all, we had FUN! Enough that we went back with family and friends from California visiting after our move and had a blast. My compliments to a great establishment with a great vibe and energy. Try it and tell me I am wrong. Bet you can't! ;)
I have personally ate at this restaurant several times and i have nothing but great things to say about my past experiences there. Every hibachi chef ive encountered have had the greatest personalities. The food is delicious, The staff is friendly and the restaurant clean. You really just cant ask for a better dinning experience. The food is a bit more pricey than the typical restaurant but its so worth it. I love this place!

Kabutos is wonderful place to eat right up there with Kobe Steak House in downtown Nashville. Me and my husband eat at Kabutos every year for his birthday this is the place he choices to eat. I am dissapointed that we will not be able to eat there this year. We love this place and our children seem to have a ball everytime we go I think they like the fire.
