We experienced the worst service in this "family" restaurant I have ever experienced in my 67 years of life. Our server was extremely rude and grumpy, with a "herd-them-up, move-them-out" attitude. We were meeting family there and expected a pleasant night out, but she made our experience very unpleasant. She failed to ask us after our meal if we wanted dessert and then when we asked to order some she complained because she had already made out our ticket and would have to make out another one. This very vocal complaint took more time, we decided, than making out the ticket did.
I am not the type of person who usually complains about servers. I think their job is difficult and they should be treated courteously and tipped well but I expect a certain degree of courtesy in return. I don't know how this restaurant stays in business with this type of service. I suspected that our server was a member of the family who runs the restaurant. Otherwise she would surely be terminated for this type of behavior.
I drive 55 miles to eat at the Sunset Restaurant. It's good country cooking. Desserts are homemade. Broasted chicken is the best. Every waitress that I have had has been very sweet. One even gave me an extra large piece of pie just because she said I was a nice person.
the last time my family & i went there we had a older lady as our waitress & she was more in our bussiness than being a waitress. such as: telling us that we didn't order anything for one of our kids when we knew what we was doin' in the 1st place then she told us that our 2 1/2 year old needed to be sitting down in her chair as if we dont watch our kids.... very rude if you ask me. when your a waitress that's what your getting paid to do not telling people how to raise there kids !!!!!

Wow, you are actually allowed to visit public places. Amazing. You and your brats should stick to McDonalds.
I agree. Maybe if your kids had been sitting in their chair the lady wouldn't have said anything. Maybe she didn't want to see your child get hurt. Stay home and let your children watch lots of PBS- they need to learn decency from somewhere.
