we booked a NON SMOKING room and it smelled like an ashtray. there were no other rooms left so we had to deal with it. very close to the main strip, a nice walk.
I recently stayed here while visiting Nashville, TN. It's definitely the best bang for your buck. Including tax, they charged me about $90 per night. I was very impressed with the room service, the clean room which included an iron and all toiletries in case you forget to pack something. The people at the front desk were great and even had a sense of humor. They allowed me to check in early since I arrived much earlier than planned and didn't have any where else to go with all my luggage. If you're a young person or a person who's in shape like myself, you can easily walk into downtown from this Comfort Inn. It's about a 25 min. walk and some of it is up-hill and across a large bridge (however there is a pedestrian walkway). Otherwise, I would definitely make sure you have a car with you. For me, the location was perfect because if I walked 1 mile into downtown, that's where all the great "live music venues" were located. There was also an excellent bar called Losers if you take a 15 min. walk the opposite direction away from the bridge along with several other nice bar and grills. Losers was the best though! This comfort inn is also very close to all the recording studios in Nashville (16th Avenue). This motel has an outdoor pool for the warmer days and a very nice FREE breakfast they provide for you each morning until 9:30am including Waffles, cereal, bagels, coffee, and OJ. I don't have one single complaint about this place except that they only programmed my room key to work one out of the three days I stayed there, so I had to get it re-configured. Also, I found their taxi service a little expensive. I would personally call a taxi yourself if needed and compare prices.
