| About: | Traditions do not come easy in this town, but some things never change. Take the menu: it is a standard "meat and three", a term given to restaurants serving a meat entree and three vegetables. However, Rotier's delicious southern-style cooking sets it apart from the other buffet offerings around town. Fresh baked cornbread and dinner rolls accompany every meal. If you are really adventurous, try a burger. It may be high-calorie, but you can always put the diet away and enjoy this tasty delight once in a while! |

For all you yankee fan fairers out there that stumble across this review, For an authentic Nashville experience go see a REAL bluegrass show at the Ryman and or Station Inn, stop in at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop on Broad, just to look if nothing else, followed up with some comfort food at Rotier's (off the beaten path if you can find it). Its worth finding!!! One of Nashville's few original landmarks that hasnt been swallowed up by progression yet. This place looked old and greasy when I was a kid 30 years ago, and nothing's changed since. Hooray for Rotier's
Nashville Classic: A splendid little diner, with reasonable prices and spectacular food. The actual 'look' of the place is a bit shabby but that seems to add to its character, rather than degrade it. The Pork BBQ dinner is very good, as are the dinner rolls that come with it. I highly recommend this as a place to eat at, whether you have lived in Nashville all your life or are simply passing through.
Order the Cheeseburger on French Bread: As local eateries go, Rotier's is one of my favorites. It has been in Nashville for a very long time and quite frankly serves one of the best cheeseburgers in town. Order that and a coke in a glass bottle for the whole experience.
