| About: | Late-night dining usually means greasy burgers or runny eggs, but even in the wee hours you can get real food on Jefferson Street. Mary cooks hand-pulled pork barbecue all night long and serves it with corn bread and sauce so hot you'll beg for water. Try the wonderful chicken sandwiches, but be careful because Mary cooks the bones, too. Potato salad and cole slaw taste like the stuff mom used to take on picnics, and no one can resist Mary's baked beans. Call during the daylight hours and order pork, chicken or beef barbecue and take some of that late-night magic home. |

Best Barbeque and Fish.: The pulled pork was fresh and we also order a side order of short ribs best we have had in awhile. If you don't mind the wait best whiting fish with mustard, pickles, hot sauce and onions. Cook fish when you order the fish.
A Nashville Treat: pulled pork served between two cornbread patties with a pickle on top.....if you don't like it hot you better opt for the mild sauce...a must if visiting Nashville
