| About: | When the weather is warm, the open-air seating is the most sought after spot in the place. Winter welcomes diners to sit around the large fireplace in the middle of the restaurant. The bar is popular all the time, and stays lively until closing time. Gulf coast low country food such as Steamed Crabs, Oyster Po' Boys, Fried Shrimp Baskets, pulled Barbeque Pork, Corncakes and daily Blue Plate Specials. User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsSouth Street prepares the best whole catfish dinner than anywhere in Florida. Itâs moist inside, slightly crisp outside, not overcooked, fresh, and spectacular.
Itâs not easy to find this regional southern favorite anymore, and is even trickier to find it prepared by someone who understands it. We found that South Street prices are reasonable and the service is friendly, welcoming, and attentive.

User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsIf it's good enough for Keith and Nic...: It's not a trip to Nashville if I don't get to eat at South Street. We always sit out front, there's one fly that likes to hang with me every time (just one, and always comes to me), they dropped my food in the floor last time, and they wouldn't make Nicole an egg-white omelette - what's not to love??? Seriously, awesome crab cake (the cucumbers are 2 die 4), great flank steak, excellent brunch - haven't had a bad meal there yet!
User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsService Not great: I have been here a few times before, Service was decent, atmosphere was cool, so I talked my boyfriend in to trying it. It took forever for our server, trena, to come and greet us, she was too busy talking to some guys, talking up her tip. She paid little attention to us, and it took five or more minutes for her to take our order. She seemed very rushed when she came by us.
Our Food took over 30 Minutes to get to us, no explanation as to why. No manager came to visit us or anything. and when the food finally came it was very cold. I don't know if we will go back.
