User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWow! I had a beautiful time at this spa. From the moment I walked in I was cheerfully greeted by smiling faces and a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. The smells of lavender, patchouli, and maybe vanilla candles were in the air ... pleasant, but not overwhelming. I had an eyebrow wax done and a manicure for about $48 which seemed reasonable. I do think management should probably change their price brochure with exact prices and not "starting at" prices. I was worried before I went in that that meant the services would probably cost more than advertised. Anyway, there is a cozy little meditation room with soothing music, dim lights, and of course the wonderful spa scents - I actually fell asleep in this little room, while waiting between my brow wax and my manicure. To be honest, I've had better manicures, but I was still satisfied because overall, the place was such a pleasant surprise.
Now, for those of us that live in the area and remember this building as a funeral home, please get over it. I did, the minute I walked thru the door. It's a beautiful environment inside. In this neighborhood especially, we need more beauty! I will definitely return and recommend this spa highly.-

My friend and I flew into Nashville and this was the best trip ever, thanks to Keisha and her staff. From the time you walk into this spa, it's not another spiritual level...Just so relaxing, so awesome! we're planning our next trip

From the moment I made my appoinment to the time I walked out after my services, my experience was fantastic. Everyone at Essense Day Spa treated me with warmth and kindness. I would absolutley recommend to everyone that wants a little pampering. I have been to a number of spas around the U.S. and this one ranks in my top choices. I am looking forward to a return trip to Nashville.
