User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI have purchased Indian food from a jar at an Indian Grocery before that tasted EXACTLY like their food. I swear to God I think they buy it from a jar and heat it up. So bad. So I would say any place in town is better but I wouldn't say any place in town is good. I've been to India. But the Indian at the truck stops in England is better than most places in this town. But this place is the worst I've ever had, anywhere.

I can't believe the bad reviews of this place! I think Shalimar is one of the best Indian restaurants in Nashville. We are from California, so I have eaten at a number of Indian restaurants. I had Chicken Tikka Masala, Veggie Pakora, and yummy fresh naan. The only negative is that it is a bit pricey. Still, I will definitely eat here again! YUM!

- Waiter was irritable when I asked if I could get a combination of chicken and lamb on a grill platter.
-Price are just silly bad compared to similar places
-Portions.....are so stupid tiny. (Lamb Vindaloo had about three small pieces of lamb for around $10 + Aloo Gobi $9+ Chicken Vindaloo $14.00= Not enough for two people to eat.
Place is tiny and cramped. Will not return for any reason.
