I really enjoyed the car buying experience and would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a car. They gave me all the information I needed and was very non-confrontational. The down home atmoshere was really relaxing and Steve Brink the GM was the best,
The manager we dealt with there is clearly a seasoned, top notch sales guy, as he knows how to lay the pressure on thick. With little room to negotiate price, if you do buy a car from them, be prepared to pull out your debating and negotiating skills for a fair deal. Additionally, after buying a low mileage 'thoroughly checked and serviced' vehicle from Crest Honda in Nashville, I found myself spending nearly a GRAND in service repairs in less than 10 days. The service manager when contacted said there was nothing they could do. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to get your Honda. Great cars, poor service. If you consider their 'thoroughly checked out car' with almost $1000 in service fees in less than a week a great deal then go for it. Just as a side note, they fired my sales guys a few days after my sale. Too bad, since he was the only guy I felt in the deal I could semi-trust.
Pros: Nice sales guy. Cons: Loads of calls while I was thinking about the car. Management difficult to reach after sale was made. Poor service. Pressure tactics.
I found a number of online "customer" reviews (including some here) that were obviously written by Crest Honda staff. The reality doesn't match the over-the-top praise these reviews spew out. I tried to buy a car for my wife from Crest this past weekend, but Crest made that impossible. Everyone we talked to was a new employee - the "senior" guy (Tom) had only been there six months. They tried every sleazy car-sales tactic on us, and when they finally figured out we weren't the kind of customer to fall for their games, they simply made sure the car was priced so high that we walked. We drove home, found the same car listed at Cookeville Honda, called them on the phone and told them the price we needed. They agreed over the phone, we drove from Nashville to Cookeville, and the deal was done in 45 minutes.
Crest doesn't deserve your business unless they make some big changes to their business.
