Not a bad place. Especially if you don't want to drive 100mi. to Mckay's. Prices are of the norm for used and selection is not bad for the volume of business they get.If you live North of the river this should be your first stop before you make the long drive to Mckay's.

Not that great. They sell all of their good stuff on eBay. Don't waste your time.

I've found Grumpy's prices are comparable to McKay's and sometimes better. They don't do the volume of business that McKay's does and they aren't quite as well organized as McKay's but they are definitely worth checking out. And, they're the only one of their kind North of the river. I've only bought books from them, I haven't traded any. So, I don't know how they are to work with in that area (if they give fair value for your books, etc.) They're kind of in a "catch-22" situation: They don't have the business McKay's does because they don't have the volume and variety of books to offer, but that's because they don't have as much business as McKay's. People probably don't think of them because of their location (north of the river, in Highland Plaza) and they aren't as well known as McKay's. Again, they're worth checking out, in my opinion.
