You'll have to drive past it three times... once to say "I didn't see it", the second time "Oh there it is" right after you pass it, and the third time to try to find a place to park. To make it easier on you, it's next to the Daryl's Sandwich Shop place, and the only markings for the restaurant are the pieces of tape on the window saying "Mykono's Greek Grille".
I had the gyro platter there, and it's actually really good, and the owner is a pretty nice guy. I wish I had a little more pita bread, but I think that's more typical of American greek food than real greek food. It seemed very authentic to me!
The downsides are kind of minor things. The only eating area is in this hallway/lobby area, parking is not always easy to come across there, and you'll be asked for spare change a few times unless you can park right at the door and run in before they see you get out of the car. I didn't feel good about having to park my car where I couldn't see it, even if it was in a higher traffic area.
I love this place. Fantastic gyros and although it's changed hands a few times over the last few years, it's still food with the greek flavors. Although it is a small restaurant and the seating is limited to outside in the hall, I wouldn't pass this one up for a quick informal snack on that day when your out and about downtown Chattanooga!
I know Greek, and when a hole-in-the-wall Greek Restaurant is run by a Greek family it is usually pretty good. Well I endorse Mykonos as the best Greek in town and it is a steal for the prices at which they sale it! The Gyros, salads, and specials are great!
