| About: | Years ago, the sounds of doo-wop music filled the air as cars pulled into this drive-in for burgers, fries and shakes. Today the drive-in is now a dine-in, and customers still feast on the best (and greasiest) burgers around. Gulf Stream shrimp ($13.95), Southern Fried Chicken ($8.95) and Pecan Pie are perennial favorites. After a day of shopping along Frazier Avenue, drive two miles west along Cherokee and treat yourself to classic American cuisine. |

I went to Nikki's for my birthday dinner. It was great! The best burger in Chattanooga. Don't forget the onion rings, fresh onion deep fried and piled 8" high on the plate. I went with two good friends. One had the fried chicken and we all tried it -- it was great! The other had the fried shrimp -- it was wonderful, perfectly cooked melt in your mouth shrimp. The service was fast, friendly, and great!
Thanks Nikki's for a wonderful birthday surprise!!!!!
Yes, both feet have to be on the floor. No, you cannot sit in a booth or at a table and have a beer without food. But it is like no place else. The clientele runs the entire range of society, and it has been a local establishment for 50+(?)years. It is not now, nor has it ever been, considered a fine dining establishment. But it is Nikki's.........and that says it all. Great shrimp. Great onion rings.
I have visited this restaurant several times and have never recieved even decent customer service. We are typically ignored for at least the first 7 or 8 minutes, the waitresses attitudes are lukewarm to downrght rude, and this last time the waitress told me I needed to keep both feet in the floor. (I had one leg tucked under the other). This was after I had to get my own straws from the server station. I'm a full grown woman and it's embarassing to be told how to sit in a dining room full of people. I will never return to this establishment and recommend that if anyone feels the need to eat at Nikki's, get it to go.
