Excellent!: We went to Carrabba's for Valentine's Day, and it was packed. We were offered seats at their pasta bar, and I was worried we wouldn't get good service. Wrong! Our waitress was just as attentive as if it was slow and we were her only customers, the food was excellent and faster than we expected, and we had a wonderful time. We will happily go back.
Great, even for a chain!: When you walk in, it smells Italian. The service was prompt and professional. Loved the dipping sauce for the warm bread, a hint of red pepper for a little spicyness. The Caesar salad was yummy with lots of fresh grated Parmesan on the top. I had the Scampi Damien, scampi over linguini which was excellent. Plump shrimp with garlic and olive oil, and just enough lemon. My date had the salmon, a nice big fillet piece that was cooked just right with a lemon caper sauce. Even though the kitchen is viewable from the dining room, the acoustics were so that you could hear the person across the table, and not the tables around you, as well as not hearing the dishes in the kitchen. I would highly recommend!!
Good Food, Not So Good Price: The food at Carrabba's is good, but it's definitely a chain restaurant. Not a bad thing, until you see the check and realize you could've chosen Macaroni Grill or Olive Garden or any of the others and spent less for virtually the same thing.
