My sister suggested this restaraunt after going there with some friends so we ate there yesterday at 11:00 weekday so the crowd had not gathered as other reviews suggest. I will give both the good and bad. I read all the reviews and somewhat disagree with some. The prices were a bit high but then again the amount of food was so much in a serving that 3 could eat it so you could easily buy one plate and share. I got the chicken parmasain and it was deliouse, my sister got a salad that was as big as texas and she said it was so fresh & good my other sister got the manacotti and it was good too see said, we all got the tomatoe & cheese appitizer and it was so good and the free bread they give you was fresh and good. the tea & cokes we got were a very large size. Service was fast, the music was nice. My only complaint was the rest rooms it smelled very very strong of mildew not sure why but they should find the source and and fix it. I found it a small but nice place to dine for fresh italian food. I do not work there nor know anyone who does. We simply went there upon my sister suggestion and that first time was good for us. They are off the beaten path from the main roads and should advertize with a sky high sign but I would suggest there place to others to try.
I just ate at this restaurant for the first time after moving to Johnson City from Florida, I must say WOW. I am 58 years old and I must say I have ate at many restaurants through out my life, but this was the best so far. What a pleasure it was to sit in a place where there is atmospher and good company. starting from walking in and some young man smiling at you and shaking your hand and greeting you and pulling your chair out for you, to the bread that is brought to your table as soon as you take a sit. There is beautiful servers who dressed in there red and black outfits shine the place up even more. The pizza was for fact the best I have ever tasted the salad was fresh and the beer was cold as it could be. One thing that stood out the most out of all when I visited the Crazy Tomato is that the young manager asked me how everything was and I told him that it was my first time eating here, he took the time to interducing himself and asking my name. He was interested to what I had to say and he remeberd my name as I was wlking out. Great food, service and hospitality.
Umm.... let's see normally I would not offend anyone about their cooking, but I am an absolute pizza fan, but come on guys my family and I ate there last night and it was horrid. I rarely even buy a frozen pizza that I do not like but it was tasteless and just no good. It tasted like someone had not rinsed the suds off of a drinking glass ugh.... Actually I have never written a review for a restaurant at all, but this just could not go with out saying. I think a lot of these good comments are coming from young staff members and their friends because I just do not see anyone liking this food. Oh yes I would not have brought my family there either if I had know that the girls barely had any clothes on. Anyone who knows me knows that I never complain of pizza made at home, pizza parlor, or frozen, but I am telling you this place puts the Y in yuck... I will give you this the sprite was good. Maybe you need to go revise your recipe seriously!

you just need to stay home and eat your frozen pizza, more than likely you are fat and ugly and hate pretty girls and you have not got laid in a long time.
