About:Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum is a non-profit organization that came into being with a motive to bring back the steam engines and the locomotives which have become a thing of the past. Today everyone can actually experience the nostalgic feeling by walking past the working repair shops. Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum is a great venue for holding a birthday party or picnics for your kid. It offers great variety like the Christmas Special, the Autumn Leaf Special, the Valentine Dinner Train and the Halloween Eerie Express. A must for any train fan!: This museum offers rides on old steam trains . During the fall they offer a ride that goes from Chattanooga TN. to Summerville GA. and back. Lunch is included in the ticket price.

Excellent Train Ride: Anyone wanting to ride a train from the 19th Century should take a ride here. I have rode the local train, as well as the Chickamauga Turn, and the Rails to Wings excursion. All three trains are excellent. The depots are fully restored and give you a great view of what it was like back then to ride a train. The ticket prices are reasonable as well. The train crews consider this their hobby and take excellent care to treat it that way. I can't wait to ride again next year.
