Just like most car dealerships your their best friend while your buying and the moment you drive off the lot your just another schmuck who bought a car. I purchased a 20 thousand dollar car yesterday evening. My partner and I were left with one vehicle due to a repair issue and decided to invest in a newer car. The sales staff seemed fantastic as it was all happening. I left with the new car feeling great. When I got home I realized that the fuel guage was on 1/4 tank. I called first thing this morning asking if I could get the tank filled (this is common procedure when you purchase a car from a dealer) the salesman told me to come by on my way to work for the gas. When I arrived he tried to hand me a voucher for a free 5 gallons. When I questioned this he said that was policy and that all used cars only got 5 gallons. I pushed the issue that I had spent 20 GRAND and that if I couldnt rely on them to at least fill the tank then I couldnt rely on them for more important issues. I told them the deal was off. I canceled the sale from the day before, took my things, called my ride and left them with it. Im taking my business elsewhere. The staff there seemed a bit dumbfounded (and very rude at this point)that I would do this over 60 bucks in gas. But, as I see it, it all comes down to principle, trust and service.
I really enjoyed working with this dealership. They are honest and they had the best price I found on a 4.6L Mustang GT. It was a very clean pre-owned car and I love it!!
Service department is horrible and finally got pissed off enough to dent my vehicle after they couldn't fix the problem after six visits. Of course, the 'fix' is only a band-aid in the form of retarded ignition timing, so now I've got a slow pig of a vehicle.
Ken seems reasonable and tried to help, but some of the people working for him are incompetent at best, and jerks at the worst. The two dents in my hood from the last visit mark the last time I'll go there, so I guess the service department got what they wanted.
