My husband and I ate here twice on our vacation. This was by far the best place to eat in the town! The first night we got brushetta and Pizza. The second time we got pasta and Stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were the best I have ever had. The food is very flavorful and they are not afraid to use cheese! They bake there pasta in these dishes and serve it to you right out of the oven!! The house salad was nothing special but the ceaser salad was very good!! It was really the only thing I was going to miss from that town.
I recently visited your establishment and couldn't be more dissatisfied with it. Gatlinburg has many return visitors and we are the types that will return with every visit to specific motels, hotels or restaurants dependant upon our experience. Ogle's Brick Oven sadly, will not make our return list. When we arrived, business was steady, the dining room was approximately half full. I noticed a group of 8 sitting in front of us and another group of 8 sitting behind us already there. We ordered 3 drinks and 1 large pepperoni pizza. We watched as the other groups began to become irritated at their long wait, but we continued to wait. Surely one pizza wouldn't be too long. 45 minutes later, we were told that our pizza was now in the oven. 15 additional minutes later we recieved our pizza. Waiting that long for a meal may not be uncommon for a 7 course meal, but not pizza. If it wasn't for our experience at other Brick Oven restaurant and how much we looked forward to that pizza, we would have left 30 minutes earlier. Our anticipation was dashed to the floor when the cardboard pizza arrived. It was no where near the awesome pizza we have experienced at other similar restaurants. We didn't expect it to be fast food, but any pizza place can have a simple pizza in 20 mintues. Olive Garden would have been quicker. The worst part about our experience was the Manager. I felt it necessary to tell her that our experience was less than stellar and she quickly responded that we should have expected a wait because they were a smaller restaurant and had large groups. UNACCEPTABLE!!! She never even offered a sympathetic apology. You know why? Because in her opinion, we were not important. Any excuse that she could have offered was not good enough, because I was not looking for an excuse. As a manager, she should have been looking for ways to improve service and assure that all of her customers were taken care of appropriately. We were not and neither were the two groups of 8 I mentioned earlier. She was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I truly hope that the next time we come to town we will get the gratification of seeing an empty building where your business once stood. It was NOT worth our time.
