Great thift store: This store uses all its revenue for Habitat for Humanity, a good cause. In addition, I think it's one of the best thrift stores in Kingsport because it has a large selection of items, mostly reasonably priced. Some are dirt cheap, and a few are a little high. But the greatest thing about it is that it has an ever-changing variety. Most things don't hang around forever, and some that stay too long are evntually given away in boxes outside the store. The store and its adjoining annex have everthing from furniture, doors and windows, glassware and toys to bicycles, appliances and wallpaper. The only downside is that it's open only Tuesday and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturdays 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting, because of the all-volunteer staff. But on Tuesdays, bargain hunters can go there and to Olde Tyme Auction across the street for a double dose of bargain hunting. The business takes cash only, no checks and no credit cards. So bring your truck or car and stock up now. Chances are, if you see something there you want it won't be there too long.
