    This place is so cute. Best apple butter I have ever tasted. Only complant is our food was a little on the cold side when served but still tasty.

    My mother had been in Pigeon Forge about 4 years ago and highly recommended this and the Old Mill restaurants. When you walk through the door your senses are just pleasantly embraced in an atmosphere that just calls out "Honey, I'm home! Dinner sure smells good!"

    Dinner was served at a large open table in a country style setting and you don't feel squished in or struggling for room. We came after the dinner rush (arrived around 7:30PM) so the restaurant wasn't crowded.

    Dinner is served family style and starts with apple fritters and apple butter (Yum!). Food is very heavy as most southern food is and is not for the health conscious or for those on a diet. There is a good variety of food choices and I had the country fried steak which was pretty good (although if I was to go back I would definitely try the chicken pot pie). I can't comment on dessert as everyone was too full from dinner!

    Again, the atmosphere is like a country home and is not like a typical chain restaurant. We had excellent service from our waiter. My only complaint is that the food, as was most places in Pigeon Forge, was heavy and also pricey (about $70 with tip and no alcohol or dessert for family of 5).

    They also have a very good general store with an apple theme that included many food choices from the restaurant. Surprisingly, the store was reasonably priced.

    Will definitely visit again on my next vacation to Pigeon Forge area.

    Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant: You have to try this place!
    Their food was fresh, generous, well cooked and seasoned. Great service and great prices. So much to enjoy.
