Pelancho's Mexican Restaurant

Of the Mexican food I've had in Knoxville so far, Pelancho's Mexican Restaurant is possibly the best.

Today I tried the beef fajitas and was very pleased. The service was good. Plates were removed promptly and the server stayed on top of the refills. If in the Downtown West area of Knoxville again I would have no hesitation to go back.

My cost for fajitas and iced tea was $10.90 with tax. This is on par with the other Mexican restaurants in Knoxville.

I visited Pelanchos this evening. I wasn't too crazy about the food. this is the first mexican restaurant I've tried in Tennessee so I guess if you're craving Mexican, you should try it...it isn't bad. Im from San Antonio, where Mexican restaurants are on every corner and the population of hispanics out number everyone else...I didn't taste anything authentic about the food at all, but I won't say it was bad either. Someone whose never tasted authentic Mexican food would probably like it at Pelanchos. The restaurant sure had alot of people and the decor was great. Our waitress and the service was outstanding. The Margarita's sure looked delicious (although I didn't have one). I guess I just miss the authentic Mexican taste from home. I would still recommend that people try Pelancho's since everyone has their own taste buds.

Every Friday Night: My coworkers and friend's love Pelanchos. We have margarita night every Friday. Not only are the margarita's great the food and service is exceptional. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good time along with some great food!
