Where do I begin, upon arriving we were seated & given a glass of water,40 minutes later,no waiter, no refils,no drink orders, nothing! Finally we asked where our waiter is,apparently there were only 2 people working & it was pointed out that this particular guy was ours. We look out the window & there he is just walking around smoking! 1 1/2 hrs later we ask for salads, they bring those out & then finally exactly 2hrs later we receive our food, there was only 4 of us! This is by FAR THE WORST SERVICE & FOOD I HAVE EVER RECEIVED, I WILL NOT RETURN & WILL NOT RECCOMMEND THIS TO ANY PERSON I WORK WITH OR ANY PERSON I KNOW FOR THAT MATTER!

I usually do not write reviews on resturants but I went to eat at pasta trio this past week & it was a delightful experience. The food was wonderful. I asked for the chef to come out so I could meet him & shake his hand & let him know how good the food was. It wasnt so much the resturant or anything, it was how well the chef did on cooking the food. His name was robert vittetoe. I wrote it down to make sure I did not forget his name b/c I was so impressed I wanted him to be recognized. I plan to go back there on my birthday b/c I enjoyed it so much. So if you want really good fine dining food, go to pasta trio & ask if the chef robert vittetoe is there. You will not be dissapointed. I was not!

LISTEN, I never write reviews about restaurants. My wife and I visited Pasta Trio in Old Town Knoxville tonight and absolutely enjoyed ourselves. This was my third time there and first time with a guest. So, here's what is good:

    1. Great atmosphere with soft light (though enough to read a book with), old wine bottles lining the walls, and good music (music is mostly modern rock I guess -- I'm not a music buff, but the music definitely added to the feel and didn't distract).
    2. FREE Bread! Wife and I had 3 loaves of this fantastic bread. Definitely dip your bread into your balsamic vinaigrette with your salad.
    3. 3-Bean Salad: Very good
    4. Very affordable and GREAT Entree. I don't think they serve anything bad. I had one of the specials this past time and I loved it. It was highly recommended by the server too.
    5. A+ Service: Prompt and attentive to our wishes such as when we are talking not to bother and, also, staying with us when we we needed him.
    6. Location & Independence: We're not suburban eaters. We like independent joints that value character and urban areas. This business gets our vote.

Good luck with your food adventure. Pasta Trio is a place to visit for sure.
