Don't GO! THE OWNER OR BOUNCERS MIGHT GET ROID RAGE !â -
My husband and I have been going to the Cotton Eye Joe for about four years now. It has always been a celebration night out for us when we recieved good reports from the doctors that my husband was beating his cancer. We found out on Oct. 28th that the cancer had gone into remission, so of course, it was time for us to celebrate. We went to the Halloween bash, where my husband drank an Alabama Slammer shot, which ended up causing a really rare reaction with one of the meds he still has to take. If any of us had thought that would happen, we would have never let him drink that one shot. It took us half an hour to even find him, and the man at the table next to us came and told me that two bouncers had tossed him out for being uncouncious and drunk in the bathroom. For anyone who has had to deal with cancer, you know how it feels for your whole world to crash around you. I found a bouncer and asked him where they had taken him. He laughed at me and informed me that they tossed his sorry drunk a** out and were detaining him until the cops arrived. I didn't have time to deal with police, because I had to get him to a hospital. I came running out and told them to leave him alone, that he wasn't drunk, and that he had cancer. They called me names, I told them they didn't have to be jerks about it. They kicked me out and would not let us in to find our group so that we could leave. I decided to go in any way, which was when Gingi, the owner, stopped me, ask what was going on, and when I told him, he stood up, started calling me an F-ing B, and everything else you could think of, then told me that my husband shouldn't have come to his club. Wow, apparently cancer is dirty and contagious. Who knew? Whenever I finally told him to shut up, he decided to send me to jail as well for being drunk. I found that funny, because I can't drink, so I laughed, which the 300 pound owner on steroids didn't take to well. Finally our group heard what was going on and came out to defend me. We were able to leave before the cops got there and get my husband to the hospital. He had gone in to total liver failure, and would have died if just a few more minutes were wasted by little boys on a power trip. So if you have a medical condition, stay far away, because in a life or death situation, death will probaby win out. Oh and if you read this Gingi, you still owe that B***** who was trying to save her husbands life, an apology.
