Real tasty BBQ, but the decor is kind of downscale not "downhome" like I expected.
The best ribs and bbq around. I like the dry the best. Service is fast and good. They have a drive-thru, but don't let that make you think less of the food - it is good. My only complaint is that when you go thru the drive thru they act like their rolls are priceless jewels or something and you're lucky to get any unless you check - then you'll see you only get like one per rack of ribs or something. ... but if you eat inside they act like they want to see how many you can stuff in, always asking if you want more rolls - I don't get it. Also, the place can seem a little quiet and boring. The Rendevous is more fun and you can say you went there. But if you want to go somewhere because you want some good bbq, don't go anywhere else but Corky's, especially don't try that new place down the road - Jim and Ricks or something, it's terrible. Anyway, Corky's is good.
OK, I thoroughly disagree with the author of the other review. I, for one, am addicted to Corky's dry ribs. I'm not crazy about the wet ones, but the dry simply, IMHO, are the best. I tell people this all of the time, but if you're a Memphian and a BBQ fan, you have favorites for everying, i.e. best pulled pork, best sandwich, best beans, etc. When I want ribs, I'm going for Corky's dry. And I think the Cordova location is consistently good at doing these.
