About:Memphis native Isaac Tigrett started this chain. However, Hard Rock Cafe, the Memphis location only opened in 1997. In addition to hamburgers, the menu includes an eclectic collection of around-the-world culinary items, such as French onion soup, Asian chicken pasta, the Caribbean style pork tenderloin and an upscale version of that old Southern favorite, funnel cake. A special treat here is the live music, which includes a gospel brunch on Sunday, where you can eat barbecue and listen to some of the best gospel singers in the country.

    I taken out of town friends there twice now and have left both times wishing I had passed. The food is average and the service is lacking and the price is too high (for what you get). Watch out for the automatic gratuity (even for lunch)...
    You are better off pointing at the Hard Rock and going to another spot on Beale.

    Definitely not as exciting as would be expected from a town like Memphis. Unless a band is playing I would recommend one of the many other great restaurants nearby.

    awesome place: took some friends had great meal people so nice.. quick service and so clean...live music and just comfortable surrounding please check it out sometime.
