Autographed guitars hang from the ceiling, offering proof that musicians such as Carl Perkins, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Walsh and others have hung out here. We visited this restaurant for lunch during the Liberty Bowl. They were extremely busy, but we were seated immediately. After we were seated, our waitress was friendly and GREAT at filling drinks. Our food did take a little longer than expected and the waitress said the hold up was the fries. We had a party of seven people. When our food arrived it was hot and really good. Everyone was happy. We had gumbo - it was spicy. We had steak hoagie, boogie burgers, chicken tenders, catfish sandwich, and the BBQ chicken sandwich. All of the food was good. The chicken tenders were awesome. The atmosphere is a hole in the wall bar with a variety of used guitars from famous people. I would definitely recommend eating here for a unique Memphis experience on Beale Street.

I arrived in memphis and checked into the Marriot Downtown. I was inquiring about restaurants in the area that delivered to the Mariott. The front desk clerk handed me a flyer from a Restaurant Delivery Service called Fasttraxx.net and told me if I used this service i could get delivery from any restaurant. I called the number and told the order taker i wanted a burger delivered. She recommended Rum Boogie Cafe on Beale.

I have never been inside this place before, however the boogie burger and salad was great even delivered. I will go see this place on my upcoming trips to Memphis. I'm sure the entertainment is as good as they say it is.

RUM BOOGIE on BEALE: Rum Boobie is one of my favorite clubs on Beale. The ambience is nice but more important they feature some of the better entertainment on a regular bases. I have had some fun there and I have listened to lots of BLUES there too! Thanks Bob Margolin!
