I grew up in the Bronx, therefore I consider myself as an expert on NY pizza. I have been searching for real NY pizza since arriving in Memphis eight years ago. Johnny Brusco's is a joke; they need to get some lessons from Milano's! Believe it or not Papa John's and Chuckie Cheeses come close but yet so far away. The owner of the Bartlett, Winchester, and Collierville store is originally from Brooklyn. Thank God he decided to relocate to Memphis and although he doesn't know it, it was just for me (Smile). I haven't eaten from Pizza Hut in about two years because of the taste (not good). Since discovering Milano's last week, I will not be eating pizza from anyone else unless I'm too lazy to pick up. Milano's on Winchester does not deliver and I don't blame them if it is because of crooks. Nevertheless, since I've located them, I will continously support them and try other items on their menu.
Milano's is the ONLY pizza that my kids will eat! Some people say that it is just like the pizza in New York, but they are wrong...it is BETTER than the pizza in New York. The salads are great, they LOAD the salads. If you are ever in the Winchester area, i highly recommend you stop by Milano's.
I agree 100%. I HATE...and I do mean HATE chain pizza restaurants. People who do not travel think that Pizza Hut and Little Caesar's is good stuff. They have no idea how good REAL New York pizza is. What Pizza Hut and some of these other knockoff restuarnts try to pass as NY style pizza is laughable. Anyone who has traveled to NYC knows how good NY pizza truly is. Milano's has the closest thing to NY pizza you will find. Actually, some of these guys must be from NYC because I've heard ther accents. Some of the employees wear Ray's Pizza which are all over Manhattan. One of my favorite places in Manhattan to get pizza is just north of Times Square at 7th Ave and around 48th 49th. They have a whole case full of pizzas with everything you can imagine on them.
My favorite thing from Milano's though is double stuffed pizza. That stuff is the BOMB. One piece will fill you up and that's saying a lot for me because I'm a big eater.
Thank you Milano's for bringing a piece of New York to Memphis !!!!
