| About: | West Indies-style ribs, jerk chicken and Jamaican grilled chicken wings are intensely flavorful at this island-themed restaurant, Bahama Breeze. The paella and the Jerk Chicken Pizza are less authentic but just as well done. One of the best and most popular dishes is the Yucatan-Style Pan-Seared Mahi Mahi in a sour cream sauce. There is a little Asian fusion influence, too, in the seared tuna with soy-sesame dressing. The decor has a Caribbean themepalm trees and all. You are likely to have a 30-45 minute wait for your table, but you can spend that time listening to reggae music and sipping a frozen drink at the lovely outside bar. |

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOne of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had! The food is divine, the service is great, the restaurant is absolutely beautiful, I plan on going back very soon! I'm telling all of my friends about this place.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI don't know who left the negative review, but they must have been way to hard to please. This is mine and my wife's favorite place. The atmosphere is fantastic. It's dimly lit with a tropical/coastal hut feel to it. It has an excellent outdoor waiting area with live steel drum/singer music. It also has a neat outdoor fire pit to hang out at. The food is great, and yes... the service is always good too. I highly recommend. It's probably the coolest restaurant in Memphis.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsFantastic: The food makes you feel as though you are actually out enjoying your meal on the beach. I have a weakness for their Coconut Prawn. I am sure that you and the family will be pleased and return many times. Fun atmosphere during the day and romantic setting at night. You can enjoy your meal outdoors if you like and don't forget to get your Bahamarita before you leave.
