I have to agree with our one friend. If you don't want to go through the hassle and headache of planning a wedding Tulip Tree is great. I have to disagree (not attacking our previous poster) on the nature of the owners. I believe they are great people that truly understand the needs of the couple. They were so wonderful to me and my wife. They run a classy operation. Tulip Tree has a beautiful set up in their chapel and reception hall. Our previous poster is right that if you want to decorate it your own way you should go somewhere else. I believe they also missed the concept of an arranged chapel thinking that they could just walk into their building and rearrange everything. The reason people can not redecorate is because an hour and a half after you leave another couple is coming in. I truly hope our previous poster got the opportunity to go through all the joys and pains of decorating, bringing in food, arguing with everyone as you try to decide what color napkins you will have, etc. As for me and my wife we loved it. We would highly recommend Tulip Tree to anyone that wants a low stress wedding (if there is such a thing) that is beautiful and has all the amenities of a traditional church wedding. At the end of the day whether you spent months and thousands of dollars or called the great people at Tulip Tree 3 weeks in advance you are just as married at the end of the day. The big difference with Tulip Tree is you have some strength left over to enjoy the honeymoon. Thanks again.

We were not impressed at all by this location. During our tour of the chapel, we were told very bluntly that we were not allowed to change anything as far as decorations or even how the chairs in the reception area were arranged. As my future mother-in-law asked questions, they were answered in a very rude manner. And the cake...they have a cake on display, it has like two layers and is completely fake, you have to use that display cake and they make you small cakes according to how many people you have in attendance. If you don't want to use that cake, you have to pay a $100 fee to have it removed and another put in. Also you can not bring in your own cake, they have to be the ones to make it. From the images and profile online, I thought this would be a great location. If you don't want to add any personality to your wedding and just want something that is all taken care of, this would be great. It is definately not the place for us.

Sorry they felt that way. We have made hundreds of couples happy over the years. I hope BB finds something she is happy with. Yes, we are set up so that you don't have to do anything. If you wanted to change everything you would be best suited with just a blank slate. We would be glad to help with that too. We can help with equipment rentals, flowers, custom cakes and finger foods at another location you may have picked.
