My husband and I ate there this past friday evening. The crab legs were cold and overcooked. We had to constantly ask for drinks, napkins, our plates removed. We finally just set our used plates on another table. The restaurant was not very busy and most of the employees were just hanging in a circle chatting. It was not worth the 20 bucks we spent to eat there.
The food here is consistent, and offers a nice variety. The onion shrimp and sauteed green beans are some of our favorites. They also frequently have crab legs and sushi. Their egg drop soup and won ton soup are also very good. There is also a dessert bar included with the buffet, and it is an excellent value. The atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired, but after all, it is a restaurant with a buffet format, so obviously this is not where you go for a romantic evening. It's a great place to take a large group, since there is a large amount of seating available. You can also order takeout, which we have done, and can order just one entree with rice and an egg roll, such as Mongolian Beef, Sweet & Sour Chicken or Vegetable Lo Mein. This is one of the better places to eat in Sparta.
Great Buffet for the Buck: My family and I eat at The Panda Garden on a regular basis and have found that the best time to eat there through the week M-Th is as soon as the lunch buffet opens, otherwise, sometimes the food isn't kept as hot and fresh as we like. The dinner buffet is always hot/fresh on Friday & Saturday nights.
