Went to Sam's Town to see Carlos Mencia and it was a GREAT show. Before the show we had dinner at the buffet and while most of the food was good the desert selection was VERY limited. After the show we played a bit, the lowest minimum at craps was a 5$ table and that's not bad for a Saturday night. The only real problem we had was at the "guest services" desk where they were almost -rude- and just were hard to deal with.
Awesome!!: Sam's Town is the best casino I have ever been to.
I just love Sam's Town!!!!
PROFOUNDLY DISAPPOINTED: I need to tell you that this last trip to Samstown Resort and Casino was the worst experience I have had. I have been coming there on the average of 2 to 3 times a year. I don't come that often, I know, but when I DO come, we had always been given QUALITY rooms, or a small suite. THIS time, we were shoved into a nasty double. This is and was totally disgusting to me. There was NO ironing board and iron, there was a tissy little coffee pot, not even big enough for 2 people to have a cup of coffee at the same time.
By the way, I am Bills wife, typing this, and I am the one that got sick on the food. I can't tell you how disappointed we were in our last stay there. In fact, we left a day early, because of the disgusting conditions.
The food on the buffet was NOT the quality that we had experienced before. I know now that we actually stayed too long, because the food, from day to day, was the SAME, and you better watch out, because on the 3rd day, you will be eating warmed over leftovers. It also made me sick, not just one time, but 3 times.
You can look at our accounts, and you can see we do spend enough and LOSE enough to at least have high quality rooms, and decent food. I personally asked one of the people behind the buffet line, dressed in white with a white chefs hat on, if all that food was warmed over, and he just looked at me and ACTUALLY LAUGHED. This told me what I had suspected.
ALSO, I asked them to give us a room right next to the elevator, because my husband is disabled. When we checked in, they said it IS next to the elevator. NOT. It was at the end of the hall. I ask you, "What kind of hospitality and congeniality is that?"
