Wow, my experience was a total 360 from yours, Monica. The hostess was so friendly and helpful. She greeted my guest and took charge so I could enjoy my daughter's birthday. The place was spotless and toys sanitized. I could smell the cleanliness of the place. The pizzas arrived about 30-40 minutes into our party and the hostess served them then cleaned up. She offered and we accepted for her to cut and serve the cake. She was a sweet, outgoing, energetic college student. They have started a Parents Night Out and due to the wonderful birthday experience, we tried the Parents Night Out. Both my kids loved it. We are bringing them back this Friday. I've never seen bugs in the place and I bring both my children to play all the time. The new owner is very personalable and has made The Play Place a better place than the previous owner. It's open all the time and it's clean, etc. They were using Little Caesars and charged $7 for extra pizza it was $13 when it was Pappa John's but that was with the old owner. I've already booked my son's birthday there and they just changed to Mazzios pizza. That is good pizza. I've spent more than $237 on parties and I think I got a lot for my money.
Just had my child's 2 yr b'day there on 7/18. It was so bad I wrote a lengthy email to the owner. The hostess would not do anything; I served and picked up everything. The place had bugs in it. They did give Little Caesar's and charged too much. They charged a $20 gratuity before the party began, and then gave no service.
The owner contacted me back and apologized and has decided to refund me $20 and give me two free passes. I was going to give her a break, but that is not a good refund for such a terrible experience. I told her to keep the free passes.
You can get a lot more for $237 somewhere else.
