| About: | The cuisine here is Greek-American with a Southern bent. What does that mean exactly? For starters, it means mouth-watering lamb gyros and pita mozzarella, delicious hummus and salads, and greasy potato skins that are clearly addictive. You can wash down your meal with an ice cold pitcher of beer served with chilled mugs. (You may bring your own wine, but not liquor.) Keifer's great, low-priced food is matched with a hip, casual atmosphere. Open and covered decks flank the rambling dining rooms with a bustling kitchen in the center of the chaos. |

The food is great! Always a favorite when returning to Jackson. The restaurant is not very clean, but you seem to forget about it if you sit on the deck. Great place to hang out with friends and go when you're not in a hurry. The staff has never been friendly and the service isn't great, but the pita mozz. and gyros are worth it!
Great food, great prices, great service, great atmosphere. What more could you ask for? I had the tuna melt and cottage fries (dipped in feta dressing, of course)and have been longing for more ever since...
The food is always great. I keep coming back because of the food and cold drink, but the service is always horrible. I've eaten there at least fifty times and I can count the times I've had good service on one hand (or one finger). The restuarant is large, but the manager must be scared to hire servers. Each server usually covers about 15-20 tables, so don't expect quick service or drink refills. If you like good food check it out. If good service is more important you might want to try somewhere else. 5 star food, 1 star service.
