User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMmmmm, so friggin' good. The best burger in Jackson. I ordered the small, which could pass for a monster burger anywhere else. It did take a while to get my food, but they were very clear that the burgers are made to order, and therefore take a while. Totally worth it...
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI have been to Cool Al's twice and I will NEVER go back. Good burgers, WORST SERVICE EVER not just once but TWICE. The first time my wife and I went we waited over an hour for a burger. Next time, my wife called in the order, got a flat tire on the way, got there over an hour after calling and it still wasn't ready. Then she waited another hour for our 2 hamburgers. That is TWO hours if you call in. If you don't mind spending your entire evening (from 6 pm until about 10pm) then this might be the place for you. I think its a severe understatement that this article says that its not "fast." We'll if you consider not fast to be 1-2 hours for a freaking hamburger then go for it. UNBELIEVABLE. We are talking hamburgers here folks, meat and cheese. It doesn't take that long to make a hamburger I don't care how busy it is. And it also doesn't help that the workers are always walking out back to smoke and are on their cell phones talking and texting. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! **NOTE** It wouldn't let me leave zero stars. I would if I could as I don't think it deserves even one!

My wife and I love us some cool Al's. Don't go often as we are trying to save money and lose weight. But it is one of the guilty. My wife is fond of the world class Sweet potato fries. I prefer the gold old fashion burger.

in defense of Cool Al's i am also a regular customer and i've found that there is often a wait but it is worth it. If your wife took an hr to get there they probably gave her burger to another customer. Also when they are busy,it's really busy.
