    Absolutely the best place to find hand made corn meal tamales this side of the Mississippi. Tony actually supplies tamales to many of the area's local Mexican restaurants. You can avoid the middleman markup and buy directly from his restaurant. Seating, as others have noted, is limited. Carryout is their main forte, but I enjoy the 'atmosphere', spartan as it is. One of the top food vendors in the Mississippi area. If you like tamales, you won't want to miss this.

    They have the best gumbo anywhere around! The tamales are excellent also! Very highly would I recommend this place.

    OMG! Best Tamales in Jackson, MS & Price is Cheap: The tamale dinner is $5.75 which is 6 tamales with chili & cheese over the top. They are the best in town. Better get them to go, not much room to sit & eat. They are worth checking out!
