I recently took my wedding bands to Bobby's jewelry to have them sized. I have been a customer of Bobby's for years, and was unaware of the drastic price change. when I went to pick up my rings Bobby was there. I was shocked when I was told it would be 80.00 and he had kept the gold that was taken from my ring. When I asked why the price was so high concidering jewelry stores do it for free when you purchase rings from them; Bobby informed me that nothing was free. I told him that I understood, and noone exected him to do it for free. He continued, in a rather rude voice, nothing was free except welfare and he was not the welfare office. The fee was not discussed, and I didn't ask. I had taked jewelry there before and was unaware of the price change. This was a valuable lesson get the price in writing before you leave your jewelry with anyone for repair.I don't know what led him to believe I am a welfare recipitant, but I was very offended by his comments and rudeness. I will never visit this store again. This man really needs to attend church more often and learn some people skills before he tries to run a business.
