I visited Sycamore House last night for the first time with a party of 6. I was very pleased with the overall ambiance of the restaurant - attractive, comfortable, nice dining atmosphere....until we waited over 90 minutes for our salad, soup, and/or appetizers. I was embarrased for my guests and even more so for our waitress, as we knew it was not her fault. Management did not even find the courtesy to come to our table to offer a complimentary glass of wine, offer an apology, or to even provide any type of explanation! Albeit the food was delicious, once it finally arrived.....I will choose to dine elsewhere on my future visits to the Bay.
Unhurried, lovely service, smooth cocktails, freshly prepared food with unique offerings. From cocktails, appetizers, salads, main course, dessert, coffee dining at the Sycamore House is an experience waiting for you in Old Town Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
Absolutely the freshest salads in the area. Iceberg is not considered a salad lettuce here. Their salads have beautiful flavors enhanced with homemade dressings.
Each dish is prepared to order. Enjoy a glass or two of wine, knowing an exquisite meal will be served. Stay for dessert. The ice cream is made in house; it is delicate, refreshing leaving you refreshed and satisfied.
Visit the Sycamore House for a dining experience you will want to repeat.
My family has been coming to the Sycamore House for at least the past five years, and I have never been disappointed. I'm not a "foodie" but all I can say is the variety, quality and prices make this a jewel not just of Bay St. Louis, but the Mississippi Coast. I have lived and worked in New Orleans for 10 years, and Sycamore House could more than hold its own if it was in that city. And I've never had a BLT like theirs!
