Recently stopped by their lot trying to get a quote on a sweet Altima Coupe. Another dealer within 45 minutes had made me an offer in writing, so I stepped by to see if Pat Peck could or would beat it as their inventory was slightly better. I was told that I would have to wait. So, I came home that night and wrote an email advising what I had been offered, inviting them to either beat it of offer something extra to earn my business. The next morning, the "internet" girl called me , verifying the model I wanted , saying "i'll have you an otd price in 10 minutes, i'll call back!" So 2 hours later, the most frenetic, nervous, crazy salesman called me. "yeah! yeah! what kind of car do you want?" He had obviously not read my email , but been given my number. He stated "there are no rebates on that car!" now, anyone reasonably informed can go to www.nissanusa.com and verify the coupe has, and has had, a $500 factory rebate or 3.9financing. I told him this. He stated "their lying! its not true, don't believe that crap". That crap? your national website sir? so he hurriedly stated "yeah, i'ma go talk to my manager, if i'll get you that car, hold on" and hungup.
So he never called back that day. That night, I receivd an automated "come on by for your special internet price, heres the price confirmation code!" Only I have no price.
I replied "please respond to my request or take me off your list.
Two days later? Nothing from them. I've written two emails, answered all calls. I requested at first they only correspond by email anyway.
The sad fact is that pat peck honda uses the same exact website setup and software. My parents and i bought a car there and the internet department was wonderful, prompt, and very motivated and efficient.
Pat Peck nissan unfortunately does not seem to utilize their internet abilities and is inept to pursuing a customer that would purchase a vehicle this weekend if the deal is right. And it can be. July of 2008, customer trying to buy a 2008 outgoing model with 17 on the lot , $500 in factory rebates and surely hidden cash to dealer for model clearance? I would be a no brainer if they wnted to sell a car.
