Cabin on stilts out in the woods overlooking a small pond with a sand beach.
Hard to find but is very worth it. Great sandwiches. The hot seafood pita is a must. Skip the cold seafood pita, no one eats it for a reason. The red beans and rice will spoil you for eating it anywhere else. Just a tip, order extra sausage on yours. The cypress club is also a favorite of locals. The soup of the day is taco soup every day so it has stood the test of time.
My family and I were in Mississippi visting other family members for a vacation. We wanted to find a unique place to eat that would be a memorable experience. We found that in Profitt's Porch. The food was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed ourselves very much. I loved the seafood gumbo and the seafood on french sandwich. My husband enjoyed the hot seafood pita. It is a wonderful place and worth the drive off the beaten path.
the food i've eaten here over the years has always been tasty. I do love the pie. Service is hit or miss, but the place is cared for by a couple that has made this restaurant their life. the place has a unique, peaceful atmosphere.
