    We take our dog and our two rabbits to Dr. Askew. When we first moved to the coast we were looking for a vet to take care of our pets. And we wanted someone that really knew their stuff when it came to the rabbits. As we checked around, every vet we talked to recomended Dr. Askew. So we went to see him. And he has proven to be the finest vet we have ever dealt with. And he has proven to be a really nice man that we are proud to know. So I agree with the article that the previous writer posted. Dr. James Askew is a wonderful vet and human being.

    Dr. Askew has been in the news lately. He operated on a pet frog that had eaten three marbles, and he wound up doing it gratis because the family couldn't afford the lifesaving surgery.

    The news articles states "This vet is known for saving critters others ignore, like car-flattened snakes, and that's why Taconi drove from Long Beach. The surgery, a procedure that everted the stomach outside the frog's mouth, was iffy and grasping slippery marbles was no easy task."

    Anyway, I live in the neighborhood, and if I ever need a vet, I know where to go.
