This is the #1 place we take out of town guests to (NOTE: closed on Mondays). It is also a great place for lunch. I was very upset a few months ago when people got sick after eating Easter dinner there. I expect things are back to normal now.
Contrary to prior postings prices are reasonable. Lunch is a particular bargain. My wife and I have eaten here 8 times and never had bad service. The local kids waiting tables there are polite and hard working.
The food was WAY over priced for what you got. Atmosphere was of an old southern dinning room. The service wasn't too bad.
The food was ok, kinda like eating at KFC, same menu choices almost
Great place for Family Style dining: I've been here several times, sometimes just hubby and I and also in large parties. The food is excellent, tho a little bit overpriced for what you get. The bread rolls are AWESOME, in fact they are the reason I go there at all to be honest. They serve them hot with butter and honey on your table, and they literally just melt in your mouth. The service you get can be a bit slow, so bring your patience with you and be expecting a long wait to be seated, this place is popular especially on holidays. The service I've received from the wait staff ranges from Excellent to the worst ever. So its really a crapshoot on what kind of service you will recieve. The food is great, and if you have a lot of people its a great place to go cause of the family style side dishes and all you can eat fried chicken. Also make sure you bring your own anti-bacterial hand wipes if you plan to use the restroom, they are usually out of soap and they aren't the cleanest I've ever seen, about on par with your average fast food joint in regards to bathrooms.
